​The Book of Dorothy

Michael John Mendiola is a writer, playwright, dramaturg, story editor and actor. 

 

As a playwright, his works "The Book of Dorothy" and "The Future's So Bright" were semi-finalists for the O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference. His dramaturgical work focuses on reimagined, nontraditional productions designed to provoke meaningful conversations.

 

He collaborated with Shannon Denise Evans on "Velvet Moon Chronicles: The Leveling," an acclaimed novel and award-winning web series. Building on their success, they formed Storycraft Eleven as a platform for their artistic endeavors. Together, they are working on a portfolio of film and television properties.

 

Michael is a member of the Dramatists Guild and AEA, channeling his commitment to positive change through his position on the board of The Project Solution, a nonprofit organization that funds infrastructure projects in distressed areas worldwide.
